5Rear E brake shoes
By T. Lucas
Got these for my Chevrolet Silverado and they work perfectly.Sure can't beat Amazons' price either. They were about $20 cheaper than at my local auto parts store.I would highly recommend them to anyone that needs these type of emergency brake pads.

2Made in China
By Limon
This may not be a fair review because I haven't installed these yet, but: I paid about $20 extra for "Raybestos Professional Grade" because I wanted the best available so that I don't have to do this again any time soon. These are made in China and visibly are no different then any other (less expensive)generic sets. Maybe I'll update after they've been installed...I installed these yesterday and the brackets don't fit: Mounting hole is off by about 1/8", just enough so they can't be used. Illustration shows two sets of brackets but only one set came with shoes. I just reused old brackets so it wasn't a big deal. I recommend buying the A C Delco kit available from Amazon also.'

59 months and still working
By Breng
I tend to wait and use the product for a while before I leave feedback. I installed this unit per the instructions and is has been working fine for 9 months. Great product!

4Good with some stress involved....
By RyanTheMan22
Alright so here is what happened i have been looking at these for a while, so i decided to try it out. Putting a new radio wasnt the most practical so these was the idea i went with. First off my car/suv is the 2006 mercury mariner, no audio system.I first bought the "PIE FRD03-AUX 2003-up Ford Auxiliary Input Converter" but after opening the box and looking behind the radio this wasnt going to work, called the manufacturer and the helpful service tech pointed me to this. I ordered this and had it overnight shipped. however opening the box again i plugged it in to the back and realized there wasnt any other cord going into the female part of the FRDN. Quick call to the manufacturer and the guy said no its fine its designed to work that way. So after all it does.Steps to install (pictures above) 1. Remove radio 2. Plug in FRDN to the slot in the radio 3. The tricky part is this connecting power and ground wires to FRDN 4. I connected it to the outlet on the Dash there was a Black one (ground) and Blue White (Constant 12v) 5. Zipped tied box of FRDN to metal on left of Glove box 6. Connect RCA cable (not included) 7. Plug in iphone 8. Press Sat 9. Listen to music 10. turn music down 2 click or to 80% loudnessOverall works good, sounds good easy install, took an hour. If i had to do it again i would say 30 mins

5Works for me
By david
This product was my second attempt at hooking up an aux input (first try failed because I got a different product and the connectors didn't match up).I installed this into a 2006 Ford E-350 (Econoline, 12-passenger van). The radio has SAT and AUX buttons; this adapter is activated by pressing the SAT button. It will say "AUX", "PIE", or "CRYSTAL" on the display screen when it's activated. This product came with absolutely no instructions, but it was pretty easy to figure out what to do: Find a place to get a +12V and a GND wire hooked up, and then plug the wiring harness into the back of the radio.I ended up using a +12V wire that's only live when the van is running or in ACC mode. I found this wire in the radio's existing wiring harness using a multimeter, with the negative lead hooked to the van's frame while using the positive lead to probe each pin in the wiring harness. You're looking for a wire that gives you +12V while in ACC mode, but when you turn the key off, it drops to 0V. In my case, it was a yellow wire. I cut the wire and spliced in this adapter's +12V wire (the purple one) using two butt connectors. For the GND wire (the green one), I attached it to a bolt on the back of the radio, which comes in contact with the vehicle's frame when the radio is slid back into place. There was plenty of space behind the radio for this adapter to sit. I will probably go back in and fasten it down to something with velcro, but for now it's just sitting loose back there.

3Wrong item but works fine
By Mike
I ordered the PIE VW02-AUX for my 2004 Passat wagon. I wanted the unit which plugged in the back of the double din Monsson radio, because I didn't not want to run wires fron the back of the car to my zune player up front. What I was sent was the PIE VW-AUX which is designed to plug into the spare plug for the optional CD changer in the rear left side of the wagon. I had the same trouble with the connector as the 1st reviewer of this item posted. I wish I had seen his review first. One of the pins actual pushed out of the back of the connector. Fortunately this was an unused power ground which doesn't seem to be used. So it worked fine even though one pin was not connected. Unfortunatly I have this wire draped over the seats coming out of the back of the car. Beware if you are ordering this item that you get what you order. The item is advertised as VW02-AUX which should plug directly into the radio. I got the VW-AUX which plugs into a connector in the trunk. Looking at the previous reviews of this item. One was used for the radio and the other used for the trunk. It looks like you could get either unit when you order through Amazon!

5Super easy install, and does exactly what it is supposed to do
By Douglas Graves
I'm not a car stereo technician by any means, but this install took me about twenty minutes from start to finish. Super easy, you just pull the factory unit out (you'll have to purchase some vw/audi car stereo removal keys [I'd recommend getting 4 of them]), unplug the 6 cd changer, and replace it with the cable from the PIE unit. I then hooked up a Monster Cable iCable RCA cable to the RCA jacks, and tucked this unit down below the stereo unit's slot. I'm not sure if the anatomy of the dash is the same on all VWs, but on my 2004 Golf, there was even a small rectangular hole between the ashtray area and the bottom of the temperature controls to slip the iCable out.Once you put everything back the way it was, you just flip the factory stereo on as if you were playing the first disc in your cd changer, and everything works great. I'd recommend the Monster Cable iCable because it carries great a quality signal, and has a nylon woven sheath, which has probably kept me from messing the cable up by slamming it in the door and other such silly things. Also, don't turn your iPod etc all the way up, but maybe leave it at like 3/4 volume--otherwise, the signal sounds somewhat distorted and "hot".Great converter though, and really easy to install. Obviously, this is a billion times better than the terrible FM iPod integration solutions that are out there, especially if you live in a big city.

3Converts to Mono
By Gary Hays
The biggest flaw with this product is that it seems to convert to mono from stereo audio sources. It's certainly not perfect, but what kind of solution for 9+ year old cars could be? This might not even b an issue for everyone who purchases it. The only other problem is that during the install finding a ground can be frustrating. The difficulty of the install is moderate, though special tools are required to remove the radio and getting the unit into a place where it fits is difficult without removing dash panels.Overall it gets the job done, but isn't a perfect product because of the stereo issue.
