Be Aware

Invicta's reputation for both quality and customer service is mediocre to poor. While I own several of them, I have always been careful not to pay too much as I know that it may not be worth the hassle to send them in for repair. My local jeweler stopped selling them due to poor quality and the customer service issues. The watch movements are made in several different countries from Switzerland to China but quality also varies as Invicta appears to contract their work to several different firms.I find the Invicta watches beautiful with a nice heft. For me Invicta makes sense when priced around the $100 range, but I would be hesitant to pay much more than that. You just cannot be sure of what you will get. Just my two cents.

Total rip-off!

I bought an Invicta Men's 2875 II Collection Chronograph Watch for my husband as a Christmas gift in December 2009. I noticed in May that he hardly ever wore it and asked why. He said it worked for about 2 weeks and stopped, so he just returned to his old cheap watch. I assumed it was a battery but couldn't open the back myself and FINALLY got to a jeweler last week to get a new battery. The jeweler installed the battery and the watch worked for a couple of hours and stopped again. So, for $65 plus the cost of a replacement battery, we got about 2 weeks of function. Now it's too late to return - all I can do is sit and burn.

Beautiful Watch, but not perfect

I really like this watch. I received it as an anniversary give from my wife to replace my existing Wegner Swiss army watch which was well worn. It functions great, however there I wish it had a locking adjustment knob. The adjustment knob has a tendency to be pulled out accidentally, stopping the watch from running. I'm assuming this happens when I reach into my pockets to pull out my keys. My old watch required you to unscrew the knob before it would pull out. This is a much better way to secure the knob rather than simply pulling it out. All in all I really like it other than this small issue.

This was purchased for a friend for Christmas. It was not purchased as a "toy" but to sit along side the "Death Dealer" print. It's perfect for me due to the fact that my friend is an avid Frank Frazetta fan.

Puma Bowie Knife 116396

My decision to purchase this Puma Bowie Knife was based upon my preferrence of simple tools which are exceptionally well made. One first must look at the intended function of this knife. It is a HUNTING knife. Not a COMBAT knife. Having served in the USMC for several years I became tired of tanto blades, composite sheaths, hollow handles and all the drama that goes into a combat knife. Also, combat knives are just downright ugly. The Puma Bowie, which is not a true Bowie by the way, is a beautiful knife. Unlike other knives there are no rattles, plastic parts or parts that can be wiggled by hand. This is truly a man's knife, a hunter's knife. And a hunter demands exceptional quality in his gear. The knife comes razor sharp and holds an edge well. It is hefty enough to chop small limbs. I have field dressed, skinned and butchered two deer with mine since I purchased it. It performs campsite chores easily as well. This is the last hunting knife you will ever need and your grandson will be proud to inherit it one day.

excellent hunting knife

What can I say, it is a Puma. Very fine steel and handle. If you ever try a puma, it will be the only brand you will ever use again. The edge last well and sharpens like a dream. What a great brand of cutlery.
