Good stuff

I bought a bunch of this stuff, and some of the much beefier 400 series stuff to wire my vehicle and a friend's vehicle. Everything sounds great. I'm using the 402 XLN stuff in the front of my car, and it was ridiculously thick and therefore tricky to get through certain spots (like the conduit in the doors). I know Monster claims that that stuff is superior to this, but it's difficult to ascertain how that could be. It seems that the other stuff mostly just has a fancier, thicker jacket. Next time around I won't have to strip the plastic mesh of the 402 wires and coat it with a tonne of WD40, because I'll just use this cable.

Like it but....

It's not really needed. You can get by with large spools of lower quality stuff. Don't try to say "you" could tell the difference in sound. Plus if you are running seperates like me then you need to buy lots of wire. This was not enough length for my job, so I used cheaper home monster wire and it worked great. I actually ended up using 3 different brands and I can't tell any sound difference between them. If wires are going to be seen, then this is a nice looking wire.

Monster Install Kit

The kit comes with everything you need. The ground wire is a little short so expect to drill it to your body. Also, please note that this is an 4 gauge wire. Some amps can't fit an 4 gauge. It goes without saying, know what your doing before you do it. Quality product from Monster.

Alternative to retail store rip-offs!

This kit was just what I needed at like 1/2 the price of what I found at Best Buy and Circuit City. The quality is just as good. I personally think this is nicer also than the ones at Target and WalMart, too. The power cable is BIG so if you're new to these kits take seriously the task of running it through the firewall. I had to use lubricant on the cable to pull it through the bushing.The only problem I had was with the battery terminal connector. My truck has a large, complicated factory fuse box mounted on the positive terminal which gave me fits with the connector that came with the kit. Wish they had included two or three types to choose or something, but the price was low so it's no problem. I finally got it to work and the Nissan dealer said he liked it.One other thing: save extra $$ on RCA cables with Hosa. They can be found at guitar/pro audio stores or here: HOSA DUAL RCA - DUAL RCA, 6m (20 ft.) STANDARD NICKLE-PLATED. MUCH cheaper than the car stereo brands and of good quality.Recommended!

Borla 2 1/4 Muffler

If you want a muffler for turbo or N/A applications and you have a car with a small amount of displacement this is what you want. It is a good, high-flowing muffler with a good exhaust note and won't completely kill your gas mileage, for those of you that are worried about it. This isn't something that is ridiculously loud either. Knowing a few people that have had Borla mufflers before buying mine, I know they will last and sound good doing it. Also with its Million Mile Warranty and Stainless Steel construction it is a pretty solid muffler.
