Finally, an easy start

Since we bought my wife's 2001 suburban, it would take a lot of dry cranks to get it running. It was a flow back valve in the fuel pump. This was a good enough deal with good enough reviews that I decided to get it and replace the old one. It's been great ever since.

fuel pump 2000 buick park avenue

its easy to install. you have to loosen the bolts on the gas tank holding straps about 2 inches to pull the wire up. i tied a piece of automotive electrical wire to the the wire plug underneath the the gas tank and taped it. that way you can pull the new wire back down very easily. seperate the two wire connecctors to the fuel pump before you cut any wire a couple of them are the same color it would be easy to cut the wrong ones.. i noticed that there was several wires the same color . once you seperate the wire connectors its easy to splice in the new ones. just follow the directions for the color codes. i did and my car started right up and the gas gauge works again. if i ever need another one im going to buy it from this seller. i put it on a 2000 buick park avenue. the hardest part was getting the carpet out of the trunk se a a brass hammer and a big punch the big one works better than the small one i bought here on amazon. they work great to get the lock ring off.

fuel pump

The fuel sendor unit in my 99 Buick park avenue was acting up and the only way to get it is to buy the pump/sendor unit. My car has a panel above the unit so the tank did not have to be dropped, however GM changed the harness connector and the wiring harness has to be loosened from under the car to change it, which made it a bit of a challenge. When the job was finished it all worked well.

Kind of annoying to install, on account of soldering a new plug while sitting in yer boot, but it does the jerb. They should just make an adapter harness and raise the price 2 bucks.
