Nice wheel. Cheesy badging. Non-trivial installation for hot rods.

I love the steering wheel. It looks great and feels great. Unfortunately, the logo in the center of the horn button is a cheesy plastic stick-on that keeps coming up. Also, you will probably need to buy an installation kit for it. I have a Flaming River column so it wasn't obvious which kit to order. When installing it I found that neither set of instructions worked for me, so you might have to figure it out yourself. I ended up not needing most of the pieces in the installation kit. I am very happy with the final product.

Made the install easy!

I purchased this along with a Grant 714 steering wheel. The installation took less than 45 minutes, and that is due to how perfectly this adapter fit. It came with all necessary parts, and was a perfect match for my car. It completes the look of the installation!

Unfortunate but learned a lesson......

I bought this steering wheel for my husband for Father's Day. He installed it on his classic car, so it's only been driven 3-4 times at the most, since he installed it. It was in beautiful shape when it arrived (it was sold as a new item) but the chrome is popping off the spokes already. I contacted the company, Grant, and they told me that buying their products on Amazon voids the warranty. So we have no recourse; we will just chalk it up to a lesson learned.

****Update below****I love my new wheel. It replaced the old plastic/rubber 1985 GMC steering wheel in my van. I did use theGrant 3196 Horn Kit Gm Amer 69-94 but was very sad to find that the horn did not work and I lost turn signal auto turn off. Its ok I rigged a new horn button and I can turn off the turn signal myself. Other than that I highly recommend the horn kit as a way to finish this wheel off. It comes with all of the attaching hardware. The wheel itself looks fantastic. I would have liked to have the wood more polished but as it is (slightly rough), it offers nice grip. I am debating adding varnish myself after some light sanding.Pros:+ Looks like a much more expensive wheel at a very good price.+ grip indentions are deep and comfortable+ Mounts easilyCons:- Appears unfinished (could use a nice polish)- recommended horn kit did not work on a 1985 GMCOverall I really love this wheel and would recommend it to anyone looking to spiff up the cab of your car/truck.Thank you for reading my review.**** Update 9/24/2011 ****The oils from my hands have soaked into the wheel. It is very smooth now. I did not add anything to it nor did I sand it like I thought I would. Not sure if that was expected but it has a nice finish now on its own.

great quality, looking classy.

bought this for a 85 cadillac and the wood grain just looks amazing. The European design looks sleek. Install was very easy. Had to move the horn to under the steering wheel column because the cadillac oem wheel is spring operated and this is wired. Originally went to grants site and it said compatible. might have to do your own special modifications.

The Grant steering wheel is great! The only gripe I have is you wouldn't ship it to Canada. I had to ship it to a friend in the USA and he mailed it to me. I don't think there is a trade embargo on steering wheels but maybe I missed the announcement.

Great kit

Installed in about 2 hours. After two attempts with two different AirLift kits that I was assured would fit on the truck but did not, I am very happy they did not. Firestone is a better kit in every way. Just make sure you have a very sharp drill bit.
