Just what the car doctor ordered!

I ordered this to replace the pump on my 97 Tahoe. It works great! The price on Amazon was unbeatable. In fact, I saved $80 to $140 compared to most parts stores. Always check Amazon before you buy anything! This pump comes with everything you will need. It has a new wiring harness with easy to follow directions, and internal screens. Works great and a great price.

Delphi FG0084 --Perfect fit in my 96 Chevy Tahoe

I Purchased the Delphi FG0084 fuel pump module from Amazon and saved over $70 over buying local. It was a great replacement for my factory fuel pump. The plug for the pump is different, but it includes a new pigtail which should always be replaced anyway. In some cases, the old wiring is the cause of the failed pump. Solder and shrink wrap the new wires on to eliminate future bad connections by using the crimping method. Delphi FG0070 Electric Fuel Pump

For over 2 years we have had problems with our 2000 GMC Sonoma ZR2. We could not keep the truck running whenever it was hot outside, we replaced the fuel pump 3 times with an after market pump from NAPA, we replaced every sensor, fuse, solenoid, computer, if it was on the truck we replaced it. After some more research, going into the heart and soul of the problem, we discovered that the fuel pump from NAPA was not adequate for the type of truck we had. I ordered the DELPHI Electric Fuel Pump, and we have not had ANY problems with the GMC..NONE..We needed a high temp fuel pump and this is the one to buy. If you are looking for a quality product from a quality seller, this is the place to be...Thank you so very much for finally having the product that we needed all along...

Works great.

I replaced my fuel pump about three years ago with an Airtex pump. It always was making noise. High pitched humming. Well it would not hold pressure after prime so my truck was very hard to start. And my SES light was on due to the lean running condition. I replaced it with the Delphi which is the OEM manufacture. My truck starts good. The SES light turned off. And the pump is very quite.I don't even hear it running during prime. It's the way to go.

This pump is the best! Whenever you replace something ALWAYS get oem! It will outlast any aftermarket product out there! The pump it self was a exact fit for my 1999 s10 ZR2 4.3! Great price, I looked everywhere because money is a little tight and I couldn't believe it when I saw the price! If you need a pump, THIS IS THE ONE!

Perfect fix

I have a '01 Chevy 2500hd CC with the 8.1l and 185k miles that was very sluggish the more throttle ya gave it. Was also having hard time starting. This pump fixed all that and the truck runs like new again. I actually got the wrong pump, this pump has emissions plug on it my old one didn't. But the pump still works because the plug is only needed to read emissions if you have it. I actually needed FG0271. I'm really happy with the price on this pump compared to others out there.

Quality part!!!

The module itself was easy to install but getting to it....well that's a whole different story... (PITA!!!!). Anyway, the module wiring exactly matched my factory harness on my 2000 Sierra 4x4 so it was as simple as cutting the existing connector off and splicing the provided connector onto my harness. All the necessary hardware to make this splice is provided with this module. If your wiring does not match the new connector, the instruction manual that comes with the module illustrates how to properly connect the new connector. I also purchased a new lock ring ACDelco TR14 Ring Fuel Sendor and new fuel line retainer clips Dorman 800-016 Fuel Line Retaining Clip Assortment for GM/Chrysler because my truck is 12 years old and I figured it would be easier to replace everything with all new parts. If you decide to order the fuel line retaining clips, make sure you get the one from the link I added because you will need BOTH (3/8" and 5/16") sizes. I also went ahead and purchased a new fuel filter ACDelco GF652 Fuel Filter as well so I could have all new parts from the pump to the filter. OK, I decided to remove the bed of my truck instead of dropping the tank (again, 12 year old plastic parts and Murphy's Law). Let me warn you...this is still a PITA regardless of whether dropping the tank OR removing the bed. I ended up purchasing a 1-ton engine hoist and a load leveler in order to remove the bed. If you have 3 good buddies to help you lift off the bed, then you may not need to spend any extra money (except for beverages for your buddies of course). Even though I spent the extra money it was WAY LESS than what the dealer wanted for this job (but I can see now why they charge so much). As usual Amazon came through and everything arrived faster than I expected. This module is great and worked like a champ. The fuel gauge worked immediately and the truck cranked right up and idled like it was new again. Thanks again to Amazon for having quality parts and fast shipping!

For my 2000 Silverado 5.3...

I literally just finished installing this on to my truck. My origional pump was still running fine after 170k miles. I just wanted to ensure my truck stays that way. Moving across country every four years(next year). Also, my year-model truck is known to have an issue with the fuel gauge jumping all over the place. Well... problem solved. No more "Low Fuel" warning light flashing every few seconds. I read one of the sheets that came with the pump. It stated very clearly that this pump is an Upgrade over the stock pump. There was a large list of improved items. There is a better fuel level sensor in there so my problem should not come back. Also, the different connector is one of the improvements that I suppose some trucks were having problems with.The swap for the actual pump was simple and very easy(5 minutes). There were some good instructions on how to change the connector on the wiring harness. Even gets into detail on how to maintain identical harness length with stock(not that it really matters if it is to long). For my particular truck... the wires were identically matched in color to my truck's wiring harness. Since I already do wiring for a living on aircraft... I had the conversion done in a matter of minutes(15 or so going slow and doing aviation specs. lol). The splice connectors are similar to what we use in aviation environmental wiring harnesses. When properly done they should hold strong(as strong as a solid wire) and be air tight. Lasting the life of the vehicle.Saved some good $$$ doing it myself and even more $$$ buying my parts here!!! A+

Installed O.K. No major issues.

Everything was there and shipping was prompt.Installation of this unit is a little interesting. There are 6 bolts to install, 4 of which go in prethreaded holes on the frame, 2 are carriage bolts that go in holes you have to widen with a 1/2" drill bit.The cairrage bolts are fished into place through the frame with a piece of wire. This is a little scary, as your certainly in trouble if you don't get it right the first time. I used bailing wire, and had to egg the holes out a little bit to accomidate the width of the bolt + the wire. Certainly worth checking before hand. Also you should have a very small screwdriver available, as you may have to coax the bolt along a little through holes in the frame rail if it gets stuck. (mine did)Once the cairrage bolts are pulled through, there is nothing to keep you from pushing them back into the frame rail accidentally. I used a extra-small vice grip to hold the bolt in place to keep it from popping back, and then lined up the cairrage bolts with the hitch before the other bolts. There remained enough thread to get install the nuts on without the washers, so I did that, and tightened them up. Then installed the 4 standard bolts. Then remove the nuts from the cairrage bolts, and reinstall properly with the supplied washers. This approach was effective, and I would recommend it.I found that the forward most passenger side bolt hole in the hitch was slightly toe'd in. Sitting on the ground with both legs under the gas tank, and pulling on the flange with one hand while threading the bolt in with the other did the trick. The metal was more flexible than it looked.I have installed a similar hitch on a Volvo before. This was slightly more kludgy. This hitch is servicable, has tolerable fit, and good finish. Installation is little tricky, but not difficult as long as are patient and thorough.
