Best upgrade for the Jeep cherokee XJ

I live in Kuwait where the heat temperature exceeds 45 degree's Celsius in the summer.My 2001 jeep cherokee had overheating problems before But after installing this 3core radiator this problem has been solved and to be honest ,,,, this cooling upgrade is the best upgrade i have ever did.

Great product! Damaged during shipping.

Awesome radiator but had to realign the filler neck and cap mating surface due to it being bent during shipping. Leaked from filler cap for two days until I finally got the surface square. Would have sent back but did not have time to wait nor did I want to pay shipping.

FITS 91-97 XJ Cherokee 4.0 Liter with AC Also!

I called CSF and this is the superceded part number for the 91-97 ALL METAL 3 row radiators. You might have to carefully remove 2 small brackets but it drops rights and works fantastic! The crappy metal wingnut petcock drain that often leaks is replaced with a newer style plastic wing and rubber seal.As Always: MAKE SURE you have that special tool for late model fuel line quick disconencts to remove the transmission cooling line! You can thank me later. Enjoy! Highly Recommended!

Tough little boxes!

I have two of these boxes, both purchased from K-Mart several years apart, each one was 20 bucks. The first one I picked up in Tallahassee in 1993 to throw in the back of my pickup for extra storage. It is now 2006, some 13 years later, and that first box is still in great condition even after traveling thousands of miles all over the southeast in the back of four different pickups over the years. The only thing noticeable about the physical appearance of both boxes is the sun will quickly fade the red handles to a whitish-pink.These are tough boxes, but for some reason hard to find in the store any more.I most definitely recommend this box. I would be nice if it had wheels, though.----------Update, 13 July 2008: these boxes are $24.99 at Wal-Mart! Also, one of my boxes has developed a slight leak. If it is in my truckbed and it is raining I might find water inside the box (not always, but it happens). I don't know if it is because it is 15 years old....or because I was stupid enough to stand on it to change a lightbulb and bend it out of shape slightly with 200+ pounds of my weight.----------Update, 25 August 2007: I've noticed that both K-Mart and Wal-Mart are carrying these boxes again (you may have to check several stores, though). Or at least the stores in Alabama are now carrying them, that is.

Iraq bound

I took this from FT. Bliss to Iraq and so far it has held up 10X better then those flimsy foot lockers that they sell at the exchange. definately worth every penny. Still locked, still in one piece, lid still closes. Looks great, and everything inside is in one piece. wouldn't trade it for the world. May even buy some more!

Great for airline travel

I use these instead of luggage and I have NEVER had anything break inside. I have carried ceramics and glass items. These are great and sturdier than the Contico trunks, they bruise and sometimes the hinges are damaged if they take a direct hit, these Action Packers don't have that problem since the lid comes completely off. The plastic is also sturdier than the Contico trunks.The only disadvantage is that they don't have wheels and you have to rely on carts at the airport if you use them as luggage but most if not all airports have carts. As you can tell I am a big fan of these things. You won't be disappointed if you get one and they last "forever" (I've never had one rupture/break/crack).Edited 11/08/2010. I took out the comment about them not being available at Wal-Mart, it seems they've started carrying them again, and I took out the comment about Rubbermaid in response to the comment by "Ryan".

AEM’s V2 intake systems use a patented dual chamber design that maximizes horsepower and torque - producing even more power that our own Cold Air systems. On a dyno graph, the area under the power band (or power curve) represents the amount of effort that an engine is producing. The larger the overall area under the curve, the more power your engine is making. The AEM V2 utilizes a dual chamber (using two different diameters and lengths of piping) that creates multiple frequency sound waves to produce the largest area under the curve of any intake system on the market. These sound waves help charge the cylinders with more air throughout the entire rpm range and are what enables the V2 to outperform even our own Cold Air systems. We have found that inlet length plays a vital role in the power production of V2 systems and not all V2 induction systems relocate the filter outside of the engine compartment. In these cases, we performed extensive temperature testing to locate the filter in the coolest area of the engine compartment to achieve the lowest inlet temperatures possible. AEM V2 Intake on 2006 Accord V6

Product number 24-6110C from AEM fits 2003-2006 Honda Accord V6 Auto or Manual Models. I have used AEM products before and have been pleased. I did own a 2000 Accord and used the original cold air intake and then later upgraded to the V2 when it was developed and I liked the sound and performance of the V2 more. So on to the new one for my 2006 Accord V6...PROS:Fit and FinishAudible throttle responseCleaner look in the engine bayNoticeably better low end responseCONS:Removal of stock resonator is a pain (especially with factory fog lights)Having to drain coolant (not much of an issue and 1 gallon is not required to be drained)Unlike the 4 cyl V2 I had for my 2000, the V6 version has a distinctly different intake tone (it is not as audibly pleasing as it was for the 4 cyl)Removal of the battery to install, this is Honda not AEMKit does not come with Nylok nut, just a regular nut (I have plenty of fasteners at my disposal and found a Nylok to use)Finally the new dry flow air filter (May flow as good as K&N but it requires 2 whole bottles of AEM dry filter cleaner to be cleaned and looks as if it may need to be cleaned more often, and unfortunately I do not have any spares at this time to install while I wait for it to dry)Overall I am pleased, the fit is better than I expected, I did put some foam between the pipe and body to prevent scratches and rattles on the contact point just rearward of the battery. I gave it 4 stars because of the filter, since I have used K&N filters for nearly 15 years I have plenty of cleaner and oil for those filters, now I will need to buy something else or just order a K&N to fit. Also not a big deal but my box did not have a license plate frame in it, and as stated did not come with a Nylok nut per the parts list, did get a nice grommet that was not listed though (no use for it). If you are looking to get more response from your Accord, then this intake can do it.I will post some pics of the install since Amazon does not have any except the one I used from the manual.

Although much more expensive than AEM's CAI or Short Ram, this system provides better airflow via the dual-chambers, giving the Accord's engine greater power and MPG.The installation was fairly easy, about 1.5 hours. You do have to remove the wheel and wheel well to get to the resonator... Just a heads up. If you have the VTEC F22B1 engine, be prepared for some extra steps during installation (a few extra hoses to install).After the installation, I took a short drive and instantly noticed an increase in acceleration. Only slight, but still noticeable. This was with low-ish-moderate acceleration around town.On the highway, though, the downshift power is increased a whole heck of a lot. 55-70, with a downshift from 4th to 3rd, happened much faster than with the stock intake.Oh, yeah, and the sound of the intake, of course. Like the other reviewers have said, it sounds very aggressive.From .5K RPMs- 3K RPMs, there is only a slight rumble.At about 3k-4k RPMs you get a low, mean sounding, growl.Once VTEC does its thing at around 4K RPMs all the way up to redline, the V2 roars. It. Sounds. Beautiful.I plan on purchasing a Flowmaster exhaust soon, and I can't wait to hear the two in unison.

Worth it

This V2 intake is simply amazing and perfect. It truly gives the accord a hell of a growl, not like a classic muscle or a brand new McLaren, more so a impressively tuned roar. And it's bark has a bite to back it, the power gains are felt almost instantly with the extra horses it provides. If you're even thinking about this intake snag it. It'll save you some cash at the pump as well, it increases mpg.

Although it wasn't officially stamped with aem on the metal, it came with the aem filter and stickers. The directions for installation were great and all the parts where in the box. For the price it was the most obvious decision to make, highly recommended if you don't want to get the CAI.
