Great product!

I bought a used Toyota Tacoma that had a K&N intake and although it worked fine, I prefer stock intakes that's just a personal preference. I looked around and found that by the time I found all the parts I needed to put a stock unit back in, it was going to cost me more (and that was used parts from recyclers) than this S&B intake. I liked the looks of it, and from reviews I read it wasn't supposed to be as loud as the K&N, so I bought one. I'm glad I did, It looks like it always belonged on the motor it's very neat and clean looking under the hood. The sound is good, a little throaty but not obnoxious, and it was easy to install, about 45 minutes if you take your time, once you have removed the old unit. I'm very pleased with it and I would recommend it with enthusiasm.

When I first approached the project of a new clutch for my Isuzu trooper I thought that I would not be able to afford a replacement because of the prices of a replacement from local dealers and online. Over 1100 dollars from one online dealer and the cheapest I could find online was over 400 dollars not counting shipping. At the Time I purchased this clutch it was 99 dollars available at Amazon.com When I found this deal on Amazon with super saver shipping I jump right on it. I am happy I did I got that Trooper running and gave it to my brother. The clutch was exactly as it was suppose to be and at a fraction of the cost. Thanks amazon.com!

Impressive, but watch out for that front element

Sometimes you just need to go to the extreme - in this case it is really wide angle. In my old Canon film-camera days, I had the 15mm 2.8 fisheye which was an even bigger chunk of glass because of its speed.Now that I have gone to the Pentax K100D camera, I was pleasantly surprised to see this 10-17mm lens was available. I was even happier because unlike the Canon lens, the Pentax is a zoom, so that not every shot has to be the distorted wide angle that you think of when you hear "fisheye". The lens goes out to the equivalent of about 26mm on a 35mm format, which is a very useful focal length as well.The lens also allows manually tweaking the focus while in the auto-focus mode - something my 2 Sigma lenses warn against.The only drawbacks to the lens that I see are that you can not mount a filter and the curved front element is exposed (same for the Canon). So, just use a little caution. And, unlike the old Canon, there are no rear filters either. Finally, for those who like to manually adjust the aperture ring - there isn't one. It's all set through the camera :-)I could go on about the lens, but as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, so I've posted a few photos in the Amazon collection.

Fun Lens to Have

Have owned this lens since December 2007 and have had a lot of fun with it. At 17mm, it functions like a conventional wide angle lens, but at 10mm it is truly a fish-eye. The flexibility cannot be beat! Image quality is excellent (color rendition and sharpness). It can produce some interesting perpectives once you learn how to exploit its characteristics.The lens surface extends (bulges out) beyond the front rim of the lens which can expose it more than a conventional lens. However, Pentax claims that it has a special coating which is supposed to resist scratches. I am ultra careful and choose not to test the strenght of the coating!! The lens cap is a slip-on type vs. a clip-on type. The lens is a tad heavy, but solidy built.The more I use this lens, the more pleased I am that I purchased it.

Every bit as advertised. A most unusual lense. It takes a while getting use to the lack of an apature ring but the lense is everybit worth it. If you are in a small room and need to take in the whole room this is the lense for you. great replacement.

As stated, its a great replacement. Exceptional quality and fitment with ZERO issues. great if you have a mustang or any 4.6L that's leaking coolant due to cracking under the thermostat housing like mine was. Not to mention this one was actually cheaper than the dorman brand.(which is known to have fitment issues) ALSO don't forget to get your replacement intake gaskets. I made the foolish mistake of reusing my gaskets because they "looked'' okay. save your self the hassle, do it right the first time and you will be satisfied. once again a great product.

Great product!

The factory intake manifold on my 04 GT finally gave out and cracked around the thermostat housing. Ordered this, which is a direct factory replacement for 02-04 4.6L SOHC V8s and had it installed in about 4 hours. Perfect fit, and coupled with new Felpro gaskets, fixed some vacuum issues I was having with the old one.

Flex-Fan screw-on adaptor for Jeep 4.0

I have a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The electric cooling fan has quit working numerous times due to poor design. The relay and the fan motor themselves have both been weak points. The cost has been over $100 each repair with no true fix. I changed to this item and attending pieces to provide a final fix. After wrestling with the fan shroud, and adding another spacer and the fan, these three pieces have satisfactorily provided a permanent fix. Been in operation almost a year, now. Working great through warm as well as cold months. I'll not be going back to the electric fan!

This adapter is high machine quality. It is a perfect fit on my 2001 Jeep Wrangler 4.0L engine. I did have to go to the local hardware store to pick up 2 1/2" 5/16"/24 bolts to install the flex fan and 2 inch spacer because the spacer came with course thread 5/16"/18 bolts

Why use Valvoline 20-50 W with zinc

We have C1 and C2 Corvettes (1953 - 1967 ). Todays oil works on engines with roller cams, old technology need a zinc additive to lubricate the hydraulic and sold lifter cams of yesterday. Valvoline does a great job doing this. I do suggest a zinc additive for extra protection such as ZZDP plus.

First off, a disclaimer: This 'kit' is almost identical to the universal 410 fan, with the addition of 4 pairs of drilled 1/8x1.5" aluminum stock to make it 'bolt-on'. If I had paid more for this vehicle-specific kit, I'd be pretty disappointed to only get $1 worth of aluminum. However, this tends to be cheaper than the universal fan, so no worries.The fan itself works pretty well, and installation is fairly easy- remove the fan & clutch from the water pump, reinstall the nuts on the pulley, remove the fan shroud, and bolt the assembled fan & aluminum adapters to the radiator. I can't say it's a huge improvement in mileage, power or cooling, but my truck does seem to have more (desperately needed) low-end grunt than it had with the mechanical fan.The disappointment in this kit is the fan controller it includes. It's very basic and somewhat limited in features. Also, it uses a thermal probe, rather than a thermoelectric one- meaning you have to string the metal 'wire' across the engine bay, rather than a small pair of signal wires. I replaced it with the 31165 variable-speed control module, which includes a thermoelectric probe, and provisions for manual-on, manual-off, and A/C triggers, as well as fan speeds other than 'on' and 'off'.

I agree with the other review about this product. Its very basic and easy to install with the help of someone else, the probe that come's with the kit does not really work very well so I scrapt that part. I didnt buy the adjusment switch like this other person, what I did was very basic as well. I hooked it up to an on/off led switch so when i'm driving or not driving I'm able to turn it off and on, but only at one speed, to me it works very nicley!My reasons for buying this product if very simple and worked after the end of the install.1) runs quiet2) dosn't sound like a plan taking off when I high RPM3) a lil better MPG, not a lot but there's a differenceSo if your reason's match this then you should deff buy this product!

Awesome choice

I installed this on my 1998 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner with a 2.7L I was getting 17.1mpg before and was shy of power, so this was a great choice for me to be able to free up the 5hp or so that the fan clutch uses. I have tried many things to give me the extra power and better gas mileage out of this truck. I have already installed new o2 sensors, tps, complete tune up, synthetic mobile 1 oil, high flow cat, headers, cleaned out throttle body and intake plenum, adjusted valves, updated computer software from Toyota and matched flow fuel injectors. All this and 17.1mpg was my average.Now this fan was my last choice and should have been my first choice with a 3 mpg gain and a little power that is freed up this is awesome. Yes it doesnt have the 2 speed controller but heck it only runs when you are at idle for a long period of time. It was an easy install and now that I know this works I will be putting one on my TrailBlazer. Just in gas mileage increase this will pay for itself in 6 months. Not bad return on investment. All of my driving is based on city driving mostly within a 5 mile radius. I hope this helps others who are trying to up there performance and mileage.

As a direct bolt-on electric fan kit for many of the 2000-2004 Chevy and GMC trucks with 28” radiator cores, this fan is the answer to the overheating problems caused by slow, inner city driving, and can solve the cooling problems that occur with body lifts. Up to 17 additional horsepower is transferred to the wheels by removing the mechanical fan, resulting in a gain of as much as 3 mpg in fuel economy.

I installed this on a 2000 Silverado. The kit fit however they sent the wrong fuse. The instructions were ok, easy to follow. Shortly after installing the fans it became obvious I needed a larger alternator to handle the load. (take this into consideration). After all is said and done it does what I needed it to do so I am happy with it. I only had issues with the parts in the kit.

After amazon lost my original order, they shipped a second order that came a week late. As soon as I open the package to make sure everything was right, I noticed that half of the hardware was missing. I took days off of work to fix my vehicle with this part, after the first order was lost by amazon, and the second order missing hardware I wasted time off of work and still cant install this part due to the missing mounting hardware and screws.Amazon sent a third order which was complete and shipped it overnight express. I am extremely happy with the product. I highley recommend the product. If it was not for the shipping problems I would have given 5 stars. At least amazon corrected the problem.
