Borla Catback

The catback was shipped very quickly, it looked perfect, and fit great. No complaints at all, I'm glad I bought it. The fitment on this catback was probably the most impressive. I have installed a bunch of different brands but this one just fell together so easily I was impressed.

Nice Exhaust and Well Made - FYI - LOUD!

Typical Borla good stuff, it all fit just like it was supposed to. Gave a noticeable improvement in power on hills! Be advised, if you also have a free flowing converter, this system is rather LOUD! Ask how I know. Totally satisfied though, easy install.Now I will add some more information as a question was posed to me about the kit. The factory exhaust has a clamp/slip joint just after the catalytic converter, and this system replaces from there back and includes clamps. That is a 2 1/4" pipe going into a 13 x 9" free flow Borla muffler, which has 2" piping the rest of the way back. The exit of the exhaust does an offset (two turns) Under the very back of the right leaf spring/shackle. Borla has a webpage on the system with the install directions available - Amazon will not allow the outside link here.If you have a significant lift (I have 5" lift & extended shackles) you may have a clearances issue here when your springs droop offroad, but this is easily corrected by changing the offset to straight or down.Several people have commented how good my Jeep sounds and how peppy it is at 125,000+ miles - do this exhaust with a Magnaflow free flowing catalytic converter, cold air intake, upgraded Bosch 725 injectors, BBK 62mm throttle body and a JET chip. Then disconnect your battery for 15 minutes, reconnect and after about 100 miles of driving for your ECU to re-trim the injectors you will have a different Jeep entirely! It's never about the One mod - think Combination!

Nothing less than a fantastic product!

I purchased the Borla dual tip exhaust system about five years ago. I was hesitant to spend the money at first because I had just purchased a greddy turbo kit for my Scion Xb, and really didn't want to spend another six or seven hundred dollars. Finally after weeks of research and listening to whatever sound clips I could dig up on competitor's products I bit the bullet and bought it. The install was very simple, I would recommend having someone help you with it, as things progress much faster. The best part about it is you get that signature Borla sound, even with the small four cylinder engine! It has a very meaty and low sound, unlike those whiny high pitched sounds you get from the cheap brands. I have had numerous compliments on it and it looks great, many people are still in awe at a Scion Xb with dual exhaust. The bottom line is that it is a great product with a great warranty and the money is worth it, I know that I will never have to replace it, and to be honest I wouldn't have any other system on my car. For a product that looks, sounds and performs like any other, go with Borla!

2005 Mazda RX8 = GREAT SOUND!

I didn't personally buy this however, I'm glad the previous owner of my car did b/c it sounds great! It doesn't sound like the stupid fart cans that the Civics and all those little cars normally have. I'd buy this and install on my car again if it wasn't there already. I'm not sure what kind of gains you get as far as performance goes but it can't be bad. It's always better to make your vehicle breath and exhale better. I also have the K&N typhoon kit but I won't get into that on this review. Buy with confidence.

The sound is more than great! A little bit noisy though even in lower rpms but it feels great when rpm builds up... OOPS, only if you would not pay attention to those around your car who may be annoyed lol

pretty good

The exhaust is alot lighter than the stock unit but still retains a low tone and a noticeable air flow output, if you want the exhaust to be noticeable, you might want to try the flowmaster dbx series for this car because this exhaust is pretty much stock quiet. Overall, i did notice a small change in performance.

borla 11741 single outlet exhaust

I was unsure what to expect with this exhaust addition. I was using a stock muffler that had a broken hanger. I was surprised that the sound from this muffler was not overwhelming, and didn't make my xB sound like it had a "fart can" exhaust. It is full of grumble, but nice and smooth. Looks great as well, and went onto my car without a problem. One thing that people should make sure to do is find a new gasket for between the muffler and the rest of the exhaust, this posed a slight problem today, and after two stops, the third had a new gasket. Asides from that, I am very pleased, and will use Borla for future cars as well.Paul
