4Great bins, hopefully they'll package them better
By Alejandro Mora
I just received the bins and was very excited until I opened the box. Three of the top bins were completely destroyed, meaning the bottom of the plastic bins were broken rendering them useless.Despite that the bins are really good. They come with screws for the regular 1/4 inch holes and also for smaller holes. They can also be stacked one on top of the other.I only give them 4 stars instead of five because apparently they must be easy to break. Wish they hadn't broken, otherwise happy with the product.

4Works well, Needs a Float
By Derrick P. Duehren
The device works well. I use it on top of a water tank to turn on a pump to fill the tank when it is not full. However, I had to jerry rig my own rod and float solution as the product come with no accessories.

4Great product
By Kr
Recieved the product and started using it in Dec 2010 so far its performing excellent, its power is fantastic and there is no humming or thud when powering off and on. My only compliant is that there is no subline input only an left and right input so i had to purchase a single female to two male RCA cable so i can use it with my sub out to my reciever (onkyo TR 606).Currently i am using an old subwoofer a 4ohm dvc 500watts rms 100watts peak wired now to 8ohms i had in a 2.0 cuft box with a 4" port with a length of 11.75 ". Dspite the 8ohm wiring setting the volume on the bash amp at 3/4 and at half output on my reciever is making this woofer hit very hard i will blow this speaker. The crossover settings little poor but u can manipulate the frequency and port lengths of your box to get a likeable setting, its alot of work but the power u get for the price is remarkable... I am very satified and pleased with this amp, will purchase another if need arises.

5It has the power.
By Chase Setters
I purchased this to power a ported Rockford Fosgate P2. I should have bought the 320 watt'r. I can only turn the amp up a little less than half way. The speaker level and line level inputs make for great versatility. You won't be disappointing with this amp.

4Great for External Use Only
By Philip
The Good:Tons of power and it ROCKS a 4 ohm JL audio W3 with all my garage can handle without breaking stuff in the house!Nice lay out and the electronics and power inside the amp are worth the money. The auto off feature is sweet.Great Bang for the Buck, butThe Bad:It shouldn't be installed in a speaker box because the white metal plate isn't stiff enough to withstand massive bass. Therefore it flexes massively and causes a rattle that will drive you insane if you like loud volumes of bass. There is no fix for the rattle other than using it separate from from the speaker box that you just cut a hole in and will have to buy or build another box. I screwed wood legs on it and had it facing up as a STAND ALONE. Worked perfect. If you want to install legs on it and use it as a stand alone then this is great. Putting it in a box is NOT advised. It is to powerful.

5great amp, great price
By dr. cliff
Don't let people fool you into thinking you need a thousand watts of amp pushing 4 giant subs for your home theater. My living room is 12x18 feet. The sub is a single Polk CSW100, built into the wall. This little BASH amp is built into the wall of the A/V closet, out of the way and very neat looking. These amps produce much less heat than traditional designs so you can just flush-mount one right in your wall! After all, they're designed to mount in an enclosure and sink their heat to the outside (the front of the amp).Anyway, my setup sounds fantastic. There is a nice 'feel' watching TV and most movies, and if I toss in an action movie or a Metallica CD, I can rattle the whole house with clear, thunderous bass. Honestly, the bass becomes overwhelming and actually annoying long before I can hear any distortion.I give this amp a hearty endorsement for the performance, price, and clean installation.

4Whole Lot of Shakin' Goin' On
By Mark Colan
Most people buy this to power an actual subwoofer. Instead, I used it to power a Clark Synthesis TST209 Tactile Transducer. Both are built into the underside of my couch, for the purpose of adding a physical sensation (shaking) to the experience of watching movies, listening to music, and playing video games. As such, I cannot comment on the sound quality. I suspect an amp with a lot of distortion would work as well for my purpose. Still, this amplifier has two very useful features for my application.1. Crossover frequency adjustment. I have it set very low, because otherwise the shaking would happen frequently, and the novelty would wear off.2. Level control. This is handy for adjusting the amount of shaking relative to the volume level on the amp.I originally ordered a 70 watt subwoofer amplifier from Parts Express. They suggested getting more power - the manual for the Transducer said 100 to 150 watts. 300 watts is more than I really need, but it was on sale, and too much is better than too little.Bottom line: I'm quite satisified with the purchase, and how this amplifier works with the tactile transducer.

5excellent amp!
By E in Texas
I bought an Athena brand home theater subwoofer a few years back and it sounded great, BUT that particular subwoofer had been manufactured with an amplifier that had some issues with dying early. Of course mine bit the dust.I replaced it with this amp and couldn't be happier. This amp sounds good and clean at least for my application. I like the standby option so I don't have to mess with it at all. It made my subwoofer sing again!

The RX1602 is an incredibly versatile 16-channel line mixer that works perfectly for monitoring multi-track recording projects, submixing multiple keyboards, sub-mixing samplers or mixing a small live set-up (for example, one keyboard and one microphone preamp). Its simple interface and intuitive features make it an invaluable addition to any recording enthusiast's or live performer's gear arsenal.

We Hate to Call it a "Miracle Product," but...

Like a souped-up blender capable of liquefying golf balls and soda cans, the Eurorack Pro RX1602 can mix just about anything into a delicious sonic puree. If you're a keyboardist with more keyboards than pairs of socks, the RX1602 can submix all your inputs into a single stereo signal, saving you valuable inputs on your main mixer. Or, if you work frequently with hardware samplers in the studio, you can save yourself a ton of time by submixing your sampler's outputs with the RX1602. This mixer also makes monitoring your home recordings a breeze. Just hook it up to your PC equipped with recording software or a multi-track recorder to quickly and easily create a tasty monitor mix. If a one-person band is more your style, the RX1602 provides the perfect solution for mixing down a mic preamp along with a keyboard. From there, you need only send a single signal to the house's main mixer.

Channel With Care

The RX1602 comes equipped with all the necessary features to create the right mix for your sound. The 16 high-headroom inputs (8 stereo, 8 mono) can be used for individual line level instruments or component outputs. The ULN (Ultra Low-Noise) design's high headroom means you can run up to 16 HOT inputs without clipping - and at the same time be assured that there won't be any extra noise added by the mixer.

Each channel has its own balance and level controls, as well as illuminated double-function "mute" buttons with "clip" LEDs to help you avoid distortion. You also get highly accurate dual 7-segment LED level meters and an individual level control for left and right main mix signals. For further flexibility, the Monitor/FX signal is assignable to headphones. It all adds up to transparent, crystal-clear audio performance.

5Excellent rack mounted stereo mixer at an excellent price!
By Larry Scott
Putting this mixer in my rack (along with a patch bay) solved a number of problems for me. It simplified the 'routing' in my rack and provided me with enough steero channels for all of my rack mounted devices. I found it difficult to find a mixer with enough stereo channels. As such, be aware this mixer has TRS inputs (not XLR microphone inputs), but you can use a XLR to TRS gender changer if you need an XLR input. Like the review before me, I too wish the mixer had at least one stereo 'aux send' (it has one mono 'aux send', but I can get around the problem using my patch bay. I am VERY happy with this mixer! It is an excellent value, has excellent functionality, and is available at an excellent price. This is my first Behringer device. I will consider Behringer more closely in the future.Larry ScottMoraga, CA925-765-2883

3Useful, nice, one major design flaw.
By A. Scudiero
This mixer does what it advertises, almost. The good: It works. It's not of quality I'd use for a combining mixer in a recording environment, but for tying multiple sources together (e.g. several computers, outboard synthesizers, etc) it does the job nicely. I very much like the fact that it's rackmounted: this was purchase to replace an original model Mackie 1202 desktop mixer. Overall, as a simple rack line mixer, it's adequate, and downright great for the price. My major complaint with this is with the monitor mix. The concept of having a separate monitor mix is fabulous, and I was exciting to find it in a mixer in this price range. That mix is monaural. Again, no big deal. The kicker: the monitor mix, not the main mix, is tied to the headphones. In one way this may seem appealing because it allows completely different mix from the main levels. Unfortunately, as mentioned above the monitor mix is MONO. Rather than mixing in stereo, so the headphones could be stereo, and combining the L/R channels just before the mono output on the back, signals are combined at each channel input; before the monitor mix is created. Result: Monaural headphones. For some things, like a monitor in a recording studio, this might be fine. For me, this is a crucial failure. I need the ability to easily switch between headphones and speakers, and monaural headphones are simply not an option. Thus, this mixer failed to be what I needed it to be and I'm left doing some really creative wiring through a patch panel to physically route the output to a STEREO headphone amplifier or speakers so I can have what I thought this mixer would do. If you don't need the headphones at all, this mixer is great. However the fact that one of the two main outputs on this mixer is essentially worthless leads me to give it only 3 stars.

5Behringer Line Mixer
By Mark King
This is another one of those "how do they do it" Behringer pieces of equipment. They are so cheap I bought one as a throw-away mixer for a job I was doing. My only problem was, the mixer worked so well I had to keep it!It's basically a stereo line mixer with eight stereo input channels so there are 16 input holes on the back (L and R input for each channel). You can use a channel mono (only one input) in which case the pan knob on each channel becomes a balance knob. There is also an AUX mix which is like an effect send on each channel and that feeds to its own mix output. You can use this for adding an effect like echo or reverb or use it as a cue send. The headphone amp has lots of drive and sounds good. The master outputs include a nice little stereo LED-ladder level-display which is very easy to see in a darkly lit venue. The outputs are very low noise and have plenty of drive level. There's not much to dislike on this little mixer, it's got a clean and accurate sound, it's low noise, it fits in one rack space and it's dirt cheap.I own four of them and use them everyday for a variety of mixing tasks. I have a pair of 8-channel racks that are filled with various old analog synths from the 80's. Each rack is equipped with a patchbay and one of these mixers. One of the racks has a pair of old Oberheim synthesizers which have a great top end and massive deep undulating bass, great sounding instruments. I sum the outputs of the Oberheims with one of these mixers and pass that to our Apogee A-D when recording, the sound quality is amazing. For some reason a lot of people hate the Behringer equipment, I think it's just for sport, they really don't have much experience with the equipment. I've used a lot of Behringer equipment in installations that are "ON" 24/7, year after year. This includes feedback eliminators, mixers, equalizers and compressors. Out of over 50 pieces of equipment I can only remember two failures by Behringer products and those both showed up immediately out of the box. In my experience their products are just as reliable as any Boutique audio products. If you need a compact rack mount line mixer, this unit is hard to match regardless of price.

4Sounds good, some reliability issues
By Burt Twangcaster
I have had this mixer for several years. I use it only for live performance. During the first year, the second channel started to go bad. It works fine when first plugged in, but after a while the signal level will weaken and finally go out altogether. All the other channels and features work great. It sounds excellent. Bummer to lose a channel though. Haven't bothered to try to get it fixed because I don't need all the channels anyway.

5Affordable audio control
By Chance
Since I already own a couple of power amps, I opted for a non-powered mixer at a good price. Having a life of experience with electronics maintenance, I know that anything that handles a lot of power is more prone to malfunction. They boast new, quiet operational amplifiers (they have come a long way) in this model, and I will vouch that, given the number of amps/buffers that a signal travels through in a mixer, the signal-to-noise ratio is pretty good. There are plenty of inputs and outputs to provide versatility, and allow for stand-alone units to do what they do best, if you need additional signal processing. You can download (from Behringer) the PDF manual and even a block diagram for the 2442FX (the manual actually covers 4 similar models); I think that would be better than my mumbo jumbo here about the technical aspects of the product. Also, reviews have said the USB models only output main signal to the computer, and I wanted a mixer for live music anyway, so choosing such a model was not a priority for me.I like having sub channels. I like the stereo aux return controls explained in section 2.3.5, pg 9 of the manual, allowing for monitoring of instrument effects. It is a nice looking box, comes with rails for rack mounting. It was shipped the same day as I ordered it, and I received it two days later, I am sure because the warehouse is close to me. I have purchased a couple of items from Musician's Friend, and both have been great.Hope this helps..happy jamming.

1Unacceptable reliability for us
By Strat Man
My band used this mixer for live performances. We went through two of these mixers before giving up on Behringer mixers. Within 6 weeks, 2 channels on the first mixer failed. We were able to return it for a refund. We decided to give Behringer another chance, and bought another. Within a year, 4 (FOUR!) channels had failed. We do not abuse our equipment at all; the mixer was always transported in a padded case, and always handled carefully. We replaced the second Behringer with a Mackie Onyx 1640. Yes, it's a lot more expensive. But nothing has failed in years of use, the preamps are better, and we can focus on our music rather than worry about when the next channel will fail.Kudos to those who have managed to get 5-star performance out of this mixer; our experience differed radically. I expect it might be more reliable in a fixed installation.A side note: The built in reverb is poor quality. If you rely on reverb, you will be better served by adding an external reverb unit. Also, I wouldn't cast the same net over all Behringer products. Their Ultra-DI DI-100, for example, is a very good, rock-solid product. I recommend you go read Ben McClure's review of the DI-100. His comments about value vs. quality with respect to Behringer products are spot on.

5Best cookware available!
By Dane Cutler
It is a pleasure cooking with this cookware. It is amazing how quick the pots and pans heat up. Apparently, the metallurgy is so well designed that it allows the cookware to heat up in very little time. Every piece is easy to maintain and looks as good today as the date it was acquired. I recommend this cookware to everyone.
