Bought this clock for the high ceiling of my family room as the wood blocks match my wood wainscoting nicely. Some mentioned the hands being difficult to read. I would say that the center of the clock is about 10 feet off the floor and maybe it takes a second or two to read the time, it's really not that bad - even in dim light with a small lamp and TV on. I will say the actual housing feels a little cheap, but once it's on the wall you would never know.

Telling Time

It is true what some other reviewer said, you can't really see the hands of the clock against its background... too black and silver. You have to be right up on it to check the time. Other than that, the wood is a bit orangy, but goodlooking. I didn't keep it, gave it to my sister.
