Magnaflow Satin Stainless Steel 2.5 inch Offset Oval Muffler is designed to reduce the amount of noise emitted by the exhaust system and to increase engine efficiency. great sound

I purchased these mufflers for my 06 corvette. I wanted something louder than stock but not too loud and wanted something deep. Exactly what I wanted, my vett sounds nice and deep but loud at WOT.

Installed this muffler on my 06 Dodge Ram diesel truck over a year ago and have found that it improved my performance. How much, I can't say, but my mpg on the highway under 60 is over 25mpg. But I also, have cai and a performance tuner.

Not truely straight through design

I was disappointed when I looked inside this muffler. I was expecting to see a straight through design. However, I saw that the 45 degree "elbows" inside the muffler were bends with CRIMPS. Thus, there is a significant restriction to flow at the inlet and outlet of this muffler. Half of the 2.5" pipe was restricted to 1.6". This would significantly restrict flow and reduce horsepower, so I sent them back (a really painless process with Amazon). I bought Dynomax Ultraflows instead and they did not have the restriction and were truely straight through design.
