5Stellar Product - Out Out This World Customer Service
By Kristina Abbott
I searched and searched for speaker stands for my studio. Most were made of wood, expensive and could not be adjusted. For accurate sound, the speakers need to be placed in specific relation to the ear - obviously this changes based on speaker size/configuration. Wanting to be smart with my money and not wanting to buy stands later if my monitors changed, I knew I needed strong stands where the height could be changed. HARD TO FIND! The next closest stands like these (different brand) cost more for much lower capability - they don't hold as much weight, their plates are too small to be stable and they don't have the same height-adjustable range. These On-Stage stands hold a whopping 100lbs and have OVER-size plates! These are fantastic and waaaay exceeded my expectations.IMPORTANT: One of the stands had shipping damage - I notified The Music People (On-Stage Stands) and Jay in Customer Service resolved the issue quickly and efficiently. He really went the extra mile to make sure I was satisfied. In this day and age, to find a company that gives excellent customer service, makes great products and truly backs their products, is a rare thing. I liked On-Stage before, but now I am a die-hard FAN and will always look to them first for all my future purchases.

1Unstable
By Jeffrey Altergott
I have Dynaudio BM15A studio monitors. They weigh 41 pounds which is well under the specified weight limit. My studio control room floor is carpet. The spiked feet OnStage provides for carpeted environments did not install easily and are not long enough to be effective on low pile shag. The lack of solid footing makes the triangular base precarious. The slightest bump into these stands will cause them to topple over under the weight of heavy monitors like the ones I own. They would probably work fine for smaller monitors or on solid floors. In my case, however, they are not working and downright dangerous.

2worst purchase I've ever made on Amazon
By kennyg
First of all I have to say that the stands shipped and arrived on time so that was great. Now for the issues. First of all the stands came with no set-up instructions in the box. Second they included several cord management clips made of cheap plastic that appeared to have snapped off the poles. These clips would never have lasted any type of movement during setup let alone being sloshed around in a box. Third the height adjustment mechanisms for the stands were good however when trying to make the necessary adjustments for each stand they were not even. Once the the height was set to say 38" on one stand, you could not set the other stand at the same height adjustment because the holes used to stable the poles were drilled incorrectly. I'm sure I'm not the only one who noticed this. WTF...how am I supposed to set-up my studio monitors at ear level if the stands don't have accurate height adjustments? Just bad manufacturing is all I can say. And fourth, the carpet screws that were to keep the base of the stands in place could not be screwed into the holes provided (they did not fit). I must say that the actual stands themselves were made of pretty hefty metal so they were difinately solid but once you tried putting all the pieces together that's when the realization that what you purchased wasn't quite right? I would not recommend these stands to anyone.Update 3/5/12 - I've had these stands for almost a week and just wanted to give an update. Although I stated that this was the worst purchase I've ever made on Amazon.com I was able to work with these stands and get them to do what they are supposed to do (stand there and hold my speakers!!) which they do! After making a few adjustments they work fine now. So if you are willing to live with some minor problems with these stands then by all means get them.
