Great balance of power, weight, ability.

I had an older version of this vaccum that I got in 2007, late last year while cleaning ash from my pellet stove (I have been using this for this job since I got it) I was over zelous and did not wait long enough for stove to cool down (first time) sucked an ember into machine, and caught the filter on fire. Cleaned machine out, and it worked for a few more months. (I clean my stove min. of once per week) Well I liked this machine so much that I bought this new version, and I love it. They have done nothing but improve this vaccum. It is more powerful, and yet quiter than the old one. As for a different persons review about hoses being to small, the whole on the machine is made to take the larger hoses if you want it to, but they are usually not necessary. If you felt the need you could buy the larger hoses not supplied with the unit, and use them with it. This machine is light enough to take just about anywhere, and still has good power to cleanup most messes.

Shop Vac quietr series

I bought this after my 4 gallon one died. The 8 gallon is not overly large so I reccommend the step up if you are looking at a 5 gallon, It really is quiet as they say and is pretty poweful. I have not yet had to use it for any water related issues but I am sure it will hold up easily. Wheels just compression fit into the bottom but ya know it is not really that big of a deal they stay in pretty good. If you can I do reccommend the shop vac disposible bags. The package comes with a wrap for the filter so you do not need the bags, I figure that works better for nails and larger item pick up but if it is car duty use the bags easier clean out. I am happy with this for the money it will keep my cars clean and clean up the occasional water. It is worth the money

Finally took it out of the box this past Saturday. I like that its not nousy but I thought it had a reverse mide so you can use it as a blower. Sadly it just sucks. Good power ,liking it so far.
