The Lexmark X8350 Office All-In-One Plus Photo includes the Lexmark exclusive Productivity Suite software to perform tasks easily and quickly, manage and distribute documents and images, create PDFs and scan documents into editable text. Printing pictures from a digital camera is easy, as you can preview pictures on the LCD color screen before you print them through the PictBridge Certified USB port or a supported memory card slot. A front USB port allows direct JPEG printing or connecting a flash drive to the PC. The Lexmark X8350 with a flatbed scanner and an automatic document feeder provides the ability to scan, copy, fax and print on a variety of media types and sizes.

Great printer for the money.

I purchased this printer at Circuit City two weeks and couldn't be more pleased with it. Installation went very somoothly, and I disabled my anti-virus program as recommended in the instructions. Set up was easy, and I was up and running in about 15 minutes. The printer controls are very intuitive, and my wife had no trouble doing her first scan for a craft project. The copy feature is especially handy, and I was able to make very acceptable copies of some insurance forms. We sent a test fax and it went through very easily. Ink was easy to install, and I am satisifed with the color and clarity of the print. Print speed is good. I plan to try the photo cartridge at a later date.The most impressive feature of this printer is how well it is built. I compared the x8350 to several HP and Canon models, and was most impressed with the Lexmark quality; e.g. the paper tray is rock solid compared to the two other brands. This is a great all-in-one printer for the money. (the model I purchased did not have a USB cable included).

This printer is incredible! Before I had a crap HP printer that was 10 years old and so this Lexmark is amazing! The LCD screen makes life so much easier and you can do so much at such a small effort.The printer is very smart and I mean SMART. It knows if a telephone call is a fax or just a regular call, the printer knows automatically which place to copy from with its sensors because there are 2 places to put things you want to copy (inside the lid of the printer for single copies or on top of the printer for multiple copies at once), and the printer also knows what kind of paper(letter,photo,index card, ect.) you put in it without you even specifying. I could go on forever about how smart the printer is...Now, to get to the actual print quality. The printer comes with 3 Premium Photo Paper samples for you to test how a photo looks when you print on it. I'll tell ya, it looks just as good as developed pictures from a store do(maybe even better). You can fool around with the settings and make the quality better and basically change almost anything you want.There are alot of features and one I like in particular is that you can plug in many different media cards/USB into you printer to get pictures off of them. The devices that the printer takes are SM/xD,MS,CF/MD,SD/MMC, and USB flash drive. I have a Compact Flash card that works wonderfully with the printer. I just drag and drop images from my other computer onto the Compact Flash card, plug it into the printer and BAM. I can then look at my pictures in full color on the LCD screen and even see a print preview of how it will look before it prints off. The computer your printer is connected to will also open up a lexmark program window asking if you want to copy the pictures off of the media drive or print them off using the computer. This way the printer becomes a drive bay in a sense.Another nice feature is that whatever computer the printer is connected to can do alot of things. You can scan something and instead of the printer printing it out it will send it automatically to a specific program(which opens automatically) on your computer like Email, Microsoft Paint, Microsoft Power Point, ect. The computer that you printer is hooked up to also senses almost anything that you do with the printer just to make it easier if you want to do it on the computer rather than the LCD screen.Well there is so much more I could say about this product. It's great...truly great. It does take a little getting used to with the LCD screen and all but dont let that discourage you because it really is easy to use and will change the way you copy, print, and fax for life.Get it now!

The e-mail print shop

Excellent value on Amazon.....This replaced an HP that was also an all in one, but it is loaded with many more features and is a much better price.Only one drawback to the lower value all in one machines is that they all (the HP was about the same) make noise....sort of strange and a bit loud, when loading paper while printing, copying etc. It is bearable and I do tend to get used to it (expect it).One other thing is that HP makes their cartridge sensors very picky....so you may or may not be able to get by with generics. With the Lexmark....no such luck, as they have chips in the cartridges that reset for low and critically low ink that the refurbishers do not know how to or otherwise cannot reset. I bought some of these at other places and some off Amazon.....they are annoying as they bring up a warning of low or critically low ink that has to be reset. Well, with high yield cartridges...and single print pages it would have to be reset (on the control panel) 400 plus times...The refurb guys should really highlight the fact that they cannot reset the chips.....because I know I became a very unhappy camper over the purchases. I did contact them and they basically would exchange for another refurb, but were extremely reluctant to refund. If I were to take that to task, I could easily win a suit against them, but I simply do not have the time for the games...I tossed em in the trash and will never buy a refurb again (anywhere). It is unfortunate that Amazon probably had no knowledge of this subtle fact, but it has the capability of creating some unhappy customers.I have always been pleased with purchases from Amazon....the cartridges were the exception......I would be curious if they changed their advertising to a truthful representation of what they sell.Thanks for the opportunity....Do you guys really read these???
