I have air/heat lines behind axle and STILL did it !

I own a 2000 town and country, limited... it has rear lines behind the axle running beside the chassis frame. Therefore, using the supplied bracket was impossible unless the lines were moved.. That was not an option... i bought these knowing i would have to MODIFY something to get these air springs to work.. Well, good old Yankee ingenuity paid off ! There is a small flat platform at each end of my axle... once drilled out, i could bring the air intake through it, after cutting away a bit of plastic on the springs... then, my chassis rail was directly above... i used the lower plate above and drilled and bolted it giving me a solid place to anchor the lift.. mind you, this is mounted upside down, but still works PERFECT !!! If you have a good drill, big sharp bits, a cut off tool or grinder, you too can modify this system for your van with rear lines... Anyone that would like me to send actual pictures of my modification, send me a line. BTW... these are MUCH better than the Gabriel air shocks that Amazon said would fit my van... They DID NOT !!! The bolt knuckles were too small making shocks contact the chassis ! My trailer hitch was originally 7.5" off the ground.. now, after install, the hitch is 11.5 inches off the ground ! Looks like a race rod too !This was NOT an easy job... the thinking took a while, and the install took me about 4 hours.. An air gun helps big time .. drop the lower shock bolt for drill room..... Good luck !

This 59520 kit for Chrysler Town & Country is the best add-on kit I have ever did for my 1997 van.Though it took me around 6 hours to finish all installation, but it is true that I could finish it in 2 hours next time. The reason is I actually wrongly marked the position of upper plate then the 8 holes for upper plate had to be drilled again.The riding is perfect, better then my expectation! That is more important then how much it could lift against heavy load. I also modified the hosing diagram, linking air path between 2 cells, thus I could have a side benefit to acquire more stable attitude when passing through "rough" road condition with less rolling.This is really a good product.Geoffrey Chu

Air Lift works great

These were a little more difficult than I thought they would be to install. It did require some drilling into the frame but they work fantastic! I was moving over 2000 miles and needed to load my minivan and pull my boat behind it. I tried just the boat without them first and it sagged so much my headlights would have blinded pilots. But with these on the back I loaded up the back of the van and hooked up the boat and inflated the air springs so that they were just the same height as before it was loaded. I could not have done it without these on the back. Even without the load the air lift springs make it a much more stable ride, going around corners it doesn't roll as much as usual. I couldn't be happier with them, and Amazon had the best price I could find. I am so happy with them that I plan to buy some for my truck next.
