Product Description
AEM’s V2 intake systems use a patented dual chamber design that maximizes horsepower and torque - producing even more power that our own Cold Air systems. On a dyno graph, the area under the power band (or power curve) represents the amount of effort that an engine is producing. The larger the overall area under the curve, the more power your engine is making. The AEM V2 utilizes a dual chamber (using two different diameters and lengths of piping) that creates multiple frequency sound waves to produce the largest area under the curve of any intake system on the market. These sound waves help charge the cylinders with more air throughout the entire rpm range and are what enables the V2 to outperform even our own Cold Air systems. We have found that inlet length plays a vital role in the power production of V2 systems and not all V2 induction systems relocate the filter outside of the engine compartment. In these cases, we performed extensive temperature testing to locate the filter in the coolest area of the engine compartment to achieve the lowest inlet temperatures possible. Although much more expensive than AEM's CAI or Short Ram, this system provides better airflow via the dual-chambers, giving the Accord's engine greater power and MPG.The installation was fairly easy, about 1.5 hours. You do have to remove the wheel and wheel well to get to the resonator... Just a heads up. If you have the VTEC F22B1 engine, be prepared for some extra steps during installation (a few extra hoses to install).After the installation, I took a short drive and instantly noticed an increase in acceleration. Only slight, but still noticeable. This was with low-ish-moderate acceleration around town.On the highway, though, the downshift power is increased a whole heck of a lot. 55-70, with a downshift from 4th to 3rd, happened much faster than with the stock intake.Oh, yeah, and the sound of the intake, of course. Like the other reviewers have said, it sounds very aggressive.From .5K RPMs- 3K RPMs, there is only a slight rumble.At about 3k-4k RPMs you get a low, mean sounding, growl.Once VTEC does its thing at around 4K RPMs all the way up to redline, the V2 roars. It. Sounds. Beautiful.I plan on purchasing a Flowmaster exhaust soon, and I can't wait to hear the two in unison.

This V2 intake is simply amazing and perfect. It truly gives the accord a hell of a growl, not like a classic muscle or a brand new McLaren, more so a impressively tuned roar. And it's bark has a bite to back it, the power gains are felt almost instantly with the extra horses it provides. If you're even thinking about this intake snag it. It'll save you some cash at the pump as well, it increases mpg.

This is the first and only mod i plan for this car. I must admit the the sound the V2 makes is incredible, and i did notice the power increase right away. Oh yeah it was an easy install.
