The latest in sport rotors features wide aperture slots that draw cool air into the braking contact area and reduce temperatures preventing brake fade. Dimple drilling avoids stress cracks and the new gold anodized EBC finish provides great looks whilst preventing corrosion. EBC sport rotors now feature reduced 3 slot venting which provides slightly less air noise under heavy braking whilst still maintaining the benefits of cooler running with the full width slot design. The design of these rotors means that some wind noise is observed and if drivers feel they would find this offensive they are advised to select the quieter USR Ultimax series or the EBC plain rotor. Another great feature of slotted rotors is the way they maintain flat and parallel pad wear and avoid the record grooves or galling common with non-slotted rotors. This improves pad contact and braking throughout the life of the rotor and pad set.

Great Rotors but order carefully

EBC crafts great performance rotors. These are no exception. However, the fitment options for my vehicle does not provide correct options for ordering the correct part number. The fitment tool goes through make, model, trim package (in my case Chevy Blazer Xtreme)engine type, then Drive Type. The only option available for Drive Type is Rear Wheel Drive. Not being a certified mechanic, I thought this referred to 2 wheel drive-rear axle. These rotors are for All Wheel Drive/4WD (High-top rotors). The correct rotors for me are GD7165, which are 2WD rotors (researched this from EBC website). The refund process was easy as usual, and customer service was as helpful as they could be, but since the rotors I need are not carried by Amazon exclusively, I have to wait 4-5 days instead of a replacement overnight. Usually not a big deal, but when your car is up on jacks and you have to fit new pads on old rotors, well, it sucks. PLEASE, AMAZON Web guys...fix the fitment options to give correct drive type options.... like maybe 2WD, 4WD, or All Wheel Drive.
