Borla for WRX - nice

The product was exactly as advertised. Sounds great, workmanship good and installation a breeze. The only disappointment was lack of replacement gasket. Borla had the nerve to say to use the old gasket instead of just dropping the right size replacement in the package. I had to go treasure hunting on a Saturday morning and was lucky to be able to order a close (not exactly right) replacement over night from Advance.

EZ to install. A lift is recomended. With my 03 WRX install it does seem that the Left hanger on the Muffler needs to be shorter and the Right does need to be longer., but sill works. You will have a small clearence issue if you have a Rear Diff skid plate wich I do. Just had to remove one bolt which doesnt effect its performace.Exhaust sounds GREAT. A nice Low tone, But over 3000 Rpm it really Speaks up.

I simply love the beautiful, deep throated sound of these Borla pipes on my 2003 WRX. It now mimics a $190,000 Porsche running a stair-step cam when it idles. I didn't want the high pitched wail of a motorcycle, which is often what I hear in aftermarket cat-backs. These duel pipes look stock to the casual observer but sure don't sound stock when it fires up. A very nice "sleeper" touch. The install was a little more difficult than I expected but doable. The power increase is felt as soon as you step on the gas peddle. I have also added a K&N Short Ram air filter, a "fuel chip" as well as replacing the heavy stock front pulley with a very light weight aluminum one so it's not always easy to attribute which upgrade is responsible for any particular power increases but these pipes sure didn't hurt my little yellow rocket. *smile*
