Product Description
The B&M Truck/SUV MegaShifter automatic shifter gives the driver a choice. Left in "Drive", the vehicle is allowed to shift like a normal automatic, but the driver can also choose to take control and get results similar to a manual. By being able to shift quickly through the gears, the driver can maximize the engine's torque curve, and improve the driving experience. It features full ratchet action performance, and cable operation for easy installation and precise shifting. Configured for light trucks and SUVs, it is sized 14.89" long, 14.85" high, and 6.42" wide, with a taller base and an adjustable floor mount bracket. The base can be trimmed to custom fit any floor, which is useful for applications where the vehicle does not have a factory provided console, or it is no longer desired.

This shifter saved our van

I know most people use this floor shifter to go faster. We use it to have our passenger van operate reliably We operate a hotel and use a 1996 E 350 van to haul people and supplies. The Ford 1996 E 350 has a flaw--the stock column shifter jams up. The Ford dealer carries the repair parts on the shelf because of the recurring problem on all '96 E 350's. The rest of the van is great. After replacing the stock column shifter the transmision works just fine, and I expect to have the van in service for a long time. It does take a little getting used to, but works great.

I chose this shifter because I am fabricating my own center console. The black "plastic" console you see with it was discarded. To which I will mount the rest directly to my own console. Vert nice shifter though.

Great but 1 small design flaw

Everything is great except the tiny cable inside that moves the indicator from park to drive, etc. it keeps bending and won't work. Serious design flaw.
