4Banks Power Monster Exhaust
By R. Gonzalez
I purchased this system after narrowing down my options to the MBRP, Flowmaster Cat back and the Banks system for my 2006 Nissan Titan SE Crew Cab with standard bed. I opted on this model because of the many great reviews regarding ease of installation, sound and appearance as stated by many reviewers. The exhaust arrived as packaged by Banks in one large box. The individual components such as the muffler and tip are protected by being packaged in a smaller box each. The other components are simply placed in the box allowing them to move in transit. This is where my issue exists.Upon receiving my system, I chose to visit the local muffler shop for installation. It figured the 1-2 hours was not worth it for the minimal installation charge the shop gets for this type of work. After my OEM system was removed, the shop started to put the system together from the CAT back towards the exhaust tip. Upon unwrapping the tip, the shop employee showed me that the tip was damaged with two dents in it. I didn't think much of it and figured I would simply call Banks and have them ship me a new one. I was stuck since the system was already installed and only the tip was left to attach.Upon leaving the shop, I called Banks only to be greeted by some ding-ding named Eric. I explained my situation to him and he basically cut me off and told me I would need to contact Amazon for my issue since they do not honor any Amazon or eBay purchases since they are not authorized vendors. I explained to him that Amazon does not package their products so it was indeed a Banks issue. He repeated that I would have to follow up with Amazon. Can anyone say quality control?? My question is how do you register your purchase, expect to have a 5 year warranty when they won't even cover a tip from a brand new product?Amazon was AWESOME in handling my concern. They helped remedy my matter the best way they knew how by providing me options. I wanted to be excited about Banks as a company and spread the word to prospective buyers. I'm only left scratching my head now. As for the exhaust itself for those of you who are not easily dissuaded by sketchy customer service and a non-existent warranty, here are my findings:Fit and finish: Fits well with no modifications or alteration. Installs quickly from a lift and with any type of mechanical inclination.Sound: The sound is incredible. It is deep and throaty. At idle it is a dull roar. Only when the accelerator is applied do you really hear it. From inside the cab you WILL hear a constant roar even with moderate, typical driving. This is to be expected with an improved, performance exhaust. You can have a conversation from within the cab without raising your voice or any need to turn up the radio in order to hear it. If you want to sneak out in the middle of the night, keep your OEM. Don't commit any crimes because the neighbors will be able to tell PD what time you got home.Appearance: The system is not as shiny as it appears in the stock photos. Only the muffler and tip are mirror polished. Nonetheless, it is very attractive. The large exhaust tip (provided yours is not bent or dented) is cool as all. The stamped "Banks" gives it that little extra flavor.Performance: It's got nice sound but have not been able to determine an increase in HP or improved MPG. It may be too early plus I don't typically drive like an idiot either. I may not be the guy to ask in this category.General Impression: I believe the exhaust system is of good quality materials. It looks and sounds great. I don't believe you will have a warranty if purchased through a "non-authorized" seller. Don't expect much from customer service from Banks provided they continue to hire losers like Eric........

5Looks and sounds GREAT!!
By BrewCrew
This exhaust is awesome.. Sounds much more tuned than the stock system did. Sound is similar to a corvette, with the low growl. I was averaging 13.6 mpg with stock exhaust, after a couple weeks with the Monster on, I am getting 14.2 and I still am driving it hard, as I love the sound. Install was very simple and easy to do. The hardest part was getting the existing bolts that attach the cats to the original exhaust off, I ended up taking it to a shop to get them out. Make sure you remove both stock hangers as one needs modified (parts come with the new system) and the other goes on after the tailpipe is in place (I learned the hard way).. Warning, this is considerably louder and you will definitly notice it from inside the cab. Overall, I'm very impressed.

5Banks Exhaust for a 2005 Nissan Titan
By Brenda
Banks Exhaust changed my girlie truck to one mean sounding BITCH. Had two problems: one was getting the bolts out the old system. WOW! The other was the exhaust hangers provided by Banks. Two stripped out before getting to the recommended torque. Other than that, system is a perfect match.
