This tube and fin transmission cooler features 1/2 inch copper tubing expanded into aluminum cooling fins and include embossed turbulators which serve to agitate fluid for maximum heat transfer. HUGE Cooler - excellent quality for the price

First, I have to say, this cooler is HUGE. I must have looked at the size wrong...I didn't think it would be this large.That said, it is a nice looking unit, solid, heavy-duty, and between the lines and it, I'd say you're getting at least an extra 1/2-quart of fluid capacity to boot. I remote mounted mine in the bed of my truck with a big electric fan and a 180-degree thermostat. Since I pull a fifth-wheel RV with my truck, the bed is pretty occupied anyhow, it wasn't a major loss (leaner spare tire, two jerry cans, toolbox and fifth wheel hitch got most of the bed full).The install kit is appropriate for under-hood mounting - make SURE you have the dimensional room for it to clear (best thing to do is to cut a piece of 1/2" plywood in the dimensional shape, and use it to test fit first). Also, the install kit is set up for 3/8" lines...so if you are planning to install this on 5/16" or larger 1/2"...you will need to plan for the appropriate reducer/enlarger fittings...they are not in the install pack.

this is a great transmission cooler for the money and amazon ships fast. It keeps my oil alot cooler than running it through the radiator
