Had an old rusted out split exhaust on my 98 F150 when I got it. hacked that thing off and bolted this on. took longer to cut the old exhaust off than it did to put this on. it is NOT LOUD! if you want loud go with no muffler! it has more of a "performance" sound deep throaty but not obnoxious. great sound when cruising at under 2k RPM
