High flow, low sound...

Since this was not stainless I took a chance and painted the entire exhaust with header paint inside and out. Looks good, its not much louder than the 2" stock though, but after I thought about it that is fine. MPG went from the mid 17 to the mid 19, so with the gas prices it will pay for itself before long. 2001 ranger off road extended cab with solid topper, drop in K&N, other than that pretty much stock... <>< Cross Connect

Purchased the Gibson Exaust for 1990's thru mid 2000's Ford Ranger,Mazda B4000 ext cab/shortbed. This exhaust system was extremely easy to install & fit surprisingly well.Installation instructions were clear but don't go by the orentiation of the muffler on the composite diagram of the system. Some one photoshopped or pasted the muffler in backwards. Look at the individual photo instruction diagrams. When it's installed right the Gibson label on the muffler is not upside down. I like the subtle deeper tone that comes with it's use & the 0-20 mph response is much smoother. For a true check on vehicles that these fit, go to the Gibson website. Amazon claims that it doesn't fit the B4000 but that's an error in their system. Perfect fit for Ranger or Mazda truck.

Ordered on a tuesday, installed it that thursday. Very pleased with this product. Very well-made and bolted on to the truck in 20 minutes (after the old flange bolts were ground off). Very pleasant tone inside and out for a 4cyl. Not "ricey" at all. I highly recommend this product. I used OEM bolts with springs to attach this system to the cat. Gibson does provide bolts in the kit, but I liked the OEM better, they looked stronger.
