Nice Solution

I used this on the middle of my garage to turn on a bunch of lights. It's impressive when triggered and works well.only 4 stars as it could use some more settings and has occasionally been false triggered by the sunset. I would buy it againas I could not find anything that is built this well.Nick WalshSeattle, WA.

Unique product functions perfectly

The Night GUARDIAN IS140 was used by the electrician who wired my new house 14 years ago. This order replaces one of those sensors that was malfunctioning. My order was filled rapidly and the product was exactly as advertised. This model sensor is unique. My requirement was to be able to turn on a switch at night to operate the built in outdoor lighting when I expected guests to arrive. And yet, when the switch was in the off state, I wanted this sensor to be able to turn on the light should someone arrive unexpectedly.My electrician told me that other sensors would burn out if you applied 115 vac to a light operated by a switch and also connected to this sensor because the 115 vac would be applied at the OUTPUT of the sensor. Other sensors can not handle 115 vac applied the the OUTPUT.To use the system the way I describe, you must have the system wired that way in the 1st place. Probably 95% of the users apply 115 vac to the input of the sensor and by switching the light switch off and on a certain number of times can make the lights come on even if there is no motion. The lights would stay on for 4 hours maximum before shutting off automatically.If you are building a new house and wish to have the outdoor lights operate by an usual light switch and also have them operate by sensor, the electricain must be told ahead of time and this model sensor should be used.

I had a location where wind caused false sensations of movement. No problems with this product. No false movment sensations as with previous Zenith sensors. Expensive, but worth it.
