Great Boots!

I have been a long time buyer of Carolina Boots. I recently retired a pair of loggers after 12years of service. I purchased my new boots and have been extremely satisfied since taking delivery. I bought extra wide this time and will tell you, I will never go back. These boots are far and away the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. The shipping was extremely fast, I ordered them standard delivery, and was very pleasantly surprised when they arrived 2 days later. If you are in the market for a durable and great looking pair of work boots, then Carolina has the boots you are searching for.

VERY Rugged Boot

This is a VERY rugged boot. Quality of the boot is great. This is a very stiff boot and will require a little break in time, unlike the other Carolinas I've owned in the past. That said, after about a week of use they're starting to come along. The second day I wore them I was doing a live sanitary waste tie in and stood for over an hour in about 4" of water and mud and the boots were completely waterproof. This boot uses Thinsulate and may be a little warm for summer use. I would recommend going wider than you would normally buy. Heel on boot is very high and might take some getting used to. The biggest con for the boot is its sole is VERY hard. You will get ZERO shock absorbtion from it. I mean ZERO people. So buy them big enough because you'll be needing some kind of cusioning inserts. That said, these are not hiking boots nor casual wear at all. You may even find in a bit hard to drive with these boots on. Construction workers, you may find it hard to work on concrete floors all day with these boots on because the soles are that hard. However, as I said this boot seems incredibly rugged and will take a few days to get used to. Before buying on line I would highly recommend trying on a pair at your local shoe store to see if they're for you. Would have given it 5 stars if not for the hard soles.

Had these for a few months now and have no complaint. They broke in nice and smooth. Didn't take long to get used to the fit from my red wings that I switched from. Doesn't scuff easily and truly is waterproof. Also the insulation is nice this winter as it has been a cold one for me here. Will likely buy again
