Wonderful product

I bought this as a Christmas present for my husband and he loves it. He did mention that it was a little tight to snap all the ends together, but the overall look is really good. I also love how Amazon ask you several questions about your vehicle before recommending this product to you. Definitely answer the questions accurately to get the best results.

Less heavy duty then the one that came from the dealer, but clearly a better design. It was very easy to install. The main problem with soft covers is that they get a lot tighter in cold weather. The factory cover did not address this problem at all. This Extang model deals with the problem in two ways, the snap buttons can be turned around so they are a little closer in, and also the ribs across the top can be moved to a lower slot. Smart people at Extang. The vinyl cover and the clamps look like very good quality. The rails look a bit flimsy, very light, but we'll see.There is one thing I definitely don't like. When you roll this up to the front, the roll up cover is held with 2 straps that join only with velcro. I liked the factory unit that had plastic snap together things like on a back pack. But this does seem to work.

Previous owner put one of these on when I bought my truck (had it about a year now). I like it a lot for the following reasons:1. Quick to take on/off. Not the easiest due to the snaps, but only takes about 1 min to remove, 5 min to put back on.2. Watertight in the rain, and even when I wash my truck.3. It keeps things out of sight in my truck bed. Combined with the bed extender it's like having a trunk. Yeah, you can pull it off or cut the cover but in general I'm comfortable leaving things in there.4. Cold weather positioning of the crossbars to make the top a bit looser and easier to install. I don't really have to use them much being in FL.I'd love a hard top but this works great at this price point.
