Product Description
AEM pioneered the Cold Air induction system for sport compact cars in 1994. A Cold Air intake system relocates the filter outside of the engine compartment to deliver the coolest air inlet temperatures possible. Cooler air carries more oxygen, which translates into a more intense explosion in the combustion chamber to create more horsepower and torque. But that's only part of the power equation. Tuning the inlet pipe in length and diameter to match the engine's resonance helps move more air to the cylinders (think of your engine as a big air pump), and this tuning allows us to deliver the maximum power gains throughout the entire RPM range. We also monitor fuel trim correction factors and all OBDII sensors during R&D to eliminate leaning the engine out and/or throwing a check engine light. Our Cold Air systems are dyno-proven and tested against the competition with the goal of creating more useable power than any other system of their kind. AEM one of the Best aftermarket intakes for RX8

I don't personally own this intake but know many folks that have this on their car. The AEM intake for the RX8 is one of the few aftermarket intakes that is well designed and actually increases performance (slightly) for the RX8. AEM designed and makes this intake for Mazda as the Mazdaspeed intake for the RX8. If you decide later to have a custom turbo kit created for your car this is one of the few intakes that can also be modified to bolt on to your turbo kit. I recommend this over the Injen intake or K&N typhoon V2. I personally have the Racing Beat intake on my RX8 and it's excellent but would also recommend the AEM.

Amazing CAI. Although no increase in speed and I have yet to find an increase in mpg, this thing makes a mean sound.Easy installation, shipped asap, and I highly recommend this over any other CAI for the RX8.

Bought this for my 2005 Mazda Rx8, Its the best price around for what you're looking for and it definitely was a great addition, if you want the best for the least then this what you're looking for. Anything else I've got to say has already been said on the other reviews, buy this!
