AEM pioneered the Cold Air induction system for sport compact cars in 1994. A Cold Air intake system relocates the filter outside of the engine compartment to deliver the coolest air inlet temperatures possible. Cooler air carries more oxygen, which translates into a more intense explosion in the combustion chamber to create more horsepower and torque. But that's only part of the power equation. Tuning the inlet pipe in length and diameter to match the engine's resonance helps move more air to the cylinders (think of your engine as a big air pump), and this tuning allows us to deliver the maximum power gains throughout the entire RPM range. A great product with nice benefits.

I purchased this as my first custom add on to my 2007 TL-s. I live in CA and was thinking about buying the AEM V2 pipe since it appeared to have slightly better spec ratings and reviews, but then found out the V2 wasn't CARB approved. :( If you live in CA and are worried about getting your car smoged legally, then the V2 pipe won't work. In my opinion after lots of research this AEM-21513 is the next best option. I got a great deal from Amazon and the pipe came with fast shipping (thanks 2 Amazon prime) and in excellent condition ready to install.The install process is a little tricky if you don't want to remove the entire front bumper. You'll have to gain access by taking off your tire and going through the wheel well cover. The biggest problem I had with the install was actually trying to get out all the OEM parts.(about 8 of them) There were a few bolts towards the upper part of the stock intake that seemed nearly impossible to access through only the wheel well. I ended up having to use a pry bar and break a piece of the stock box in order to remove everything. Just a warning if you don't plan to take off front bumper. It would also help if you have access to a lift instead of just a floor jack and stands. The instructions that came with AEM pipe weren't bad, but of course they give you generic instructions and all sub-models will vary a little on configurations. None the less, the bolt I removed to get out the stock box was not mentioned in the instructions. Overall from start to end it took me about 3 hours to do the entire job. I'm an intermediate DIY's and have pretty good mechanical skills and was a bit upset this took me as long as it did. Once the stock intake was out it only took about 30 minutes to install new AEM pipe and close everything up. Would have giving 5 stars if instructions mentioned the "hidden" bolt I needed to remvoe on stock parts.Overall, I think it was worth my time and money investment. I love the sound of this pipe as you drive down road. You can hear a slight whistle as it sucks in all the extra air. It's also looks good under the hood and has minimally helped with gas mileage. The h.p gain also seems pretty minimal, but still a noticeable improvement at first. I also enjoy the fact this is a dry filter and doesn't need to be cleaned or "re-charged" quite as often as other models out there. I might recommend also buying the 1-4000 Dry Flow Air Filter Wrap if you're worried about getting any water sucked up. Good luck on install if you buy and do yourself. :)

Makes my acura sound 10x louder when I floor it, also saves gas by 2-3 mpg (if your driving slow) install was quite easy and everything was there in the pakage ready to go. I would recommend buying this If you want your acura to stand out in front of the rest.
