AWESOME SUB!!!

I do Professional sound competitions & started out w/ the original type R & was impressed in every aspect/ I then upgrade to the newer ones & was even more impressed. I had 4 of these & ran over 1,000 watts RMS to each one on a continuous basis & never heard any distortion & never blew em'. I did however have minimal Voice-coil burning closer to 1500 watts, but they still held like champs! If you want an amazing sounding system, but don't want to spend a fortune save your money from a more expensive sub & put it towards a better amp, because these subs can take it!

I did some research and found the best reviews on the Alpine type R series. I just wanted a single subwoofer to take the place of my old two 10's but i still wanted it to hit hard. Well i bought this beast and threw it in a ported box and it is easily louder than my buddy's two 12's in his car. The sound is pure as it gets and and hits wayyy harder than my two 10's ever did. Props to Amazon for an amazing price on it, you get the same sub thats sold on Alpine for $150 cheaper. I definitely recommend this product to anyone that wants nice pure bass high and low frequencies without having to buy two 12's.

I have had my share of subs and the type R series is the best bang for your buck. If you want quality and want to go deaf, its Alpine all the way!!!I've had all of the type r series subs and the 15 sounds the best if you want the perfect combo of lows and highs.
