great addition to my 68' Skylark

Purchased this during one of my sporadic rebuilding "spurts" on my 68' Buick Skylark Custom convertible. As stated, the unit bolts right into the existing holes on the lower control arms (provided you have the stock arms) with the supplied grade 8 hardware. Shims are provided for a tight fit, and kit includes sleeves to install on bolts so you don't compress the control arms during torqueing. If you choose to keep your stock control arms and mount this bar as I did, I strongly recommend welding plates to the bottom of the arms to "box" them in as recommended elsewhere. Although the description talks about "mid & end-link bushings" being "all urethane", keep in mind this is a REAR sway bar and kit neither includes nor requires these bushings as they are meant for a FRONT bar. Installation was a snap & clears all stock accessories and rear end housing.Ride is significantly improved on my heavy 60's "A" body with far less rear end body roll during turns.

Bought this sway bar for my 1972 Buick Skylark and have been very happy in the improved suspension and control. I'm sure it would work well on any GM A-body car from that period as well as other body stiles. The bar is well made, painted in black semi gloss, kit contained all of the necessary hardware and it bolted up without any problems. I recommend this sway bar to anyone interested in firming up their cars ride and I feel it is a good value. You should note that this style bar hangs about 2 to 3 inches below the differential when installed which is not a problem but is very noticabile when looking at the car from the rear. I think most car guys would agree that it also improves the cars appearance from a suspension standpoint.
