Building That Small Block Chevy With Aluminum Heads, Or Just Want Performance Head Studs - ARP Has Them!

I've built countless small block chevy and Ford engines over the years, and I've always insisted on ARP head studs when using aluminum heads. They always simplify tear down and assembly on any high performance engine - and you get truer torque values to prevent warpage and have a better seal.ARP makes two different styles for your use on the small block chevy. These ARP 134-4001 are the ones I use with my Trick Flo TFS-30400003 23 degree aluminum heads. This style has hex head nuts and studs tempered for 170,000 PSI, but ARP also has a twelve point nut and stud set with 190,000 PSI of tensile strength for those extra extra hot small blocks.This is actually a box kit that carries a packing date and lot number on the box - ARP is very carefull about what they sell, and I've never had any of their products suffer a failure - except where they were designed for it with GMC style blowers on funny cars. In the box you will have the full stud kit with washers, and a packet of ARP "Ultra Torque Fastener Assembly Lubricant". The lubricant is there to help you achieve within 5% of the desired preload on the first stage sequence of torque. Instructions are also included to help you get the proper torque with the fasteners. ARP is a name I trust - and one I also look to on bottom-end assembly. I like reliabilty, and ARP has always given me that. After years of racing on various tracks, there are a lot of reasons my engines always won races - ARP is one of them.
