Product Description
AEM pioneered the Cold Air induction system for sport compact cars in 1994. A Cold Air intake system relocates the filter outside of the engine compartment to deliver the coolest air inlet temperatures possible. Cooler air carries more oxygen, which translates into a more intense explosion in the combustion chamber to create more horsepower and torque. But that's only part of the power equation. Tuning the inlet pipe in length and diameter to match the engine's resonance helps move more air to the cylinders (think of your engine as a big air pump), and this tuning allows us to deliver the maximum power gains throughout the entire RPM range. We also monitor fuel trim correction factors and all OBDII sensors during R&D to eliminate leaning the engine out and/or throwing a check engine light. WORTH EVERY PENNY

If you are looking for a noticiable horsepower increase, look no futher!! This AEM cold air intake will give you the HP you are looking for. I drive up this long 3 lane hill everyday to work and usually I have to stay in 3rd gear going up it in my 2000 Eclipse GT, and now I can shift to 4th and into 5th gear and it keeps pulling and pulling with the extra HP you have now. Fit and finish is perfect!! Installation is a breeze with the instructions that come with it. And what makes it even better you can convert it to a short ram intake in less then 5 minutes incase its really raining hard out and there are spots that are flooding. I would recommend the AEM bybass adapter that prevents hydro lock and the AEM filter outerwear which keeps it water repellant during rainy days and following cars during the rain.I didnt notice any horsepower loss when I converted it to a short ram intake but when you have it as a cold air intake I love the engine growl it has when opening my car up passing someone. I tried a cheaper version and prefer AEM hands down!!! 5 stars all the way.
