Product Description
AEM pioneered the Cold Air induction system for sport compact cars in 1994. A Cold Air intake system relocates the filter outside of the engine compartment to deliver the coolest air inlet temperatures possible. Cooler air carries more oxygen, which translates into a more intense explosion in the combustion chamber to create more horsepower and torque. But that's only part of the power equation. Tuning the inlet pipe in length and diameter to match the engine's resonance helps move more air to the cylinders (think of your engine as a big air pump), and this tuning allows us to deliver the maximum power gains throughout the entire RPM range. We also monitor fuel trim correction factors and all OBDII sensors during R&D to eliminate leaning the engine out and/or throwing a check engine light. Awesome product, awesome price!

I bought this AEM cold air intake from amazon for about 140 bucks. It was almost a hundred dollars less than the polished and silver one, and way cheaper than anywhere else. Fairly easy installation (if you know what you are doing because the instructions are actually kind of confusing), although I gotta say it took me like 20 minutes or more to get the air filter on. Should have taken me two minutes, but it seemed like the neck on the filter was two short and the oil on it (the rubber part, not the actual filter element) was making the filter slide off the intake tube when tightening down the clamp.

I recently bought this intake for my '95 honda accord. The product itself arrived a day early, which is a plus. Installation is simple even if you know very little about cars. For my vehical imparticular I had to simply remove the stock intake, jack up the front passenger side of my car ( You must remove the front splash gaurd, tire and wheel-well) since the filter itself is encased here beneath the car. You won't really notice an increase in power so much as response time. Acceleration is increased and your car gets a loud deep growl from about 4K RPMs on up. All in all its the best intake I've ever owned, rivaled only by the AEM short ram intake. But don't worry you'll get the same ram effect due to cold condensed air expanding when it reaches the high engine temperatures. So if you're having doubts as to whether or not you should buy this don't. Just get it and you won't be sorry.
