Product Description

This kit contains everything you need to mate a stock or stock replacement GT exhaust system to a 1999-2004 Mustang with the 3.8L V6 engine.The 2-1/2" diameter tubing is aluminized for longer life and mandrel bent for free flowing performance. The stock catalytic converters are retained in the stock location, so this kit is 50-states legal! All clamps, fasteners, hangers and instructions are included. Cutting is required and welding the adapters to the stock downpipes after cutting is recommended, but not necessary.

Does what it is supposed to

Installed it myself in my home garage. Fits together ok. Takes a little time to get it lined up to fit as well as it can. Had to go to the hardware store to buy a couple of bolts to mount the rear hangers. Overall does what it needs to do and allows any V8 exhaust to bolt up. Installed on a 2000 Mustang with V6 auto trans. Adapted to a stock 2000 V8 exhaust for a good mellow sound. I did not have it welded as some others have as my clamps have stayed tight.

Used to convert single pipe exhaust to dual - 2004 V6 Mustang

Excellent product at a great price. The economical and smart way to convert your single pipe exhaust to more GT like dual exhaust. I took all the parts to a shop and just had them cut the stock Y pipe and fit this kit on to make it an X. Then I just fit on a GT catback (Flowmaster 44's) and bam! Sounds and looks great and didn't cost me a fortune.
